TEMPORARY TEACHER OF SCIENCE (MATERNITY COVER)
Required from 1st September 2021
The Governing Body of Maesgwyn Special School are seeking to appoint an innovative teacher who is passionate about their subject and has the vision to promote the highest standards of attainment, for young people with learning difficulties. The successful candidate will be able to use innovative approaches to engage students with additional learning needs. Some experience of Special Educational Needs will be an advantage, but not essential. We actively welcome applications from NQTs as well as from experienced colleagues. Currently, KS3 pupils follow the national curriculum for science at NC levels 1-5 while all Year KS4 students gain BTEC Level 1 Applied Science. As such previous experience in the teaching of science would be an advantage for this post. The post is temporary to cover a maternity leave at the school.

The school has an excellent Wellbeing department which works closely with a wide range of external partners including Educational Psychologists and Universities to meet the needs of all pupils.
