We're looking for a Primary/Junior school teacher to take on a 6 week teaching contract, working with our upper Prep School on an international project for exchange visitors who come to study with us each year. Applications are also welcomed from qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistants who have experience of working independently with small groups of around 10 pupils.
You should be enthusiastic and enjoy planning a variety of lessons, drawing on the regular curriculum, but also enabling our visitors to understand the culture and customs of Wales.
This is an exciting short-term, hourly-paid opportunity in our highly respected and popular school, based on 32.5 hours per week. Following the end of the 6 week block (which includes a week's break unpaid for half-term), you may then have the opportunity of joining our bank of supply and occasional teachers who support us with cover, should you wish to.
For more information, please contact Anne Jones, Headmaster's PA, contact details are on our website.
If you are interested, we recommend applying as soon as possible, as we will be interviewing candidates before and after the closing date. Given the nearness of the starting date we reserve the right to appoint at any stage in the recruitment timeline.
St. Michael’s School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
