30 hrs per week, term-time only, 39 weeks per annum
09.00 – 3.30pm Monday – Friday.
Required wef 30th September 2019 – 31st April 2020
The appointment is of a temporary nature due to the identified budget provision to provide SEN support in the school, to individual or groups of pupils, as directed. Budget provision has been identified initially until 31st April 2020. However, the appointment will be reviewed on a regular basis, taking into account any changes to the budget provided.
The Governing Body wish to appoint a pro-active and empathetic Keyworker Learning Support Assistant. The role will require the successful candidate to support both the educational and additional learning needs of a child currently based in morning Nursery. During the afternoon periods the successful candidate will be required to support in different classes across the school under the direction of the Achievement and Inclusion Leader. The successful candidate will also be expected to undertake a 30 minute general lunchtime supervision.
Roath Park Primary School is a highly successful inner city school within Cardiff. The school provides a quality education to 484 pupils.
We are looking to appoint a highly dedicated and supportive keyworker teaching assistant as part of our team. The successful candidate must be able to work as a member of a team, have a passion for children’s education and rights, good communication skills and an ability to implement key strategies and initiatives.

Under the Education (Wales) Act 2014, all School Learning Support Workers must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
