The Governing Body wish to appoint a pro-active, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support children primarily in the Foundation Phase. An ability to contribute to the warm, caring, Christian ethos of the school is essential. The successful candidate should also be able to demonstrate excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills. He or she should also be able to show initiative, share in the planning and evaluation of activities, and be able to work well as part of a dedicated team. The role will also include working during the lunchtime period supporting pupils at lunch and/or at play in either Foundation Phase or KS2.
Under the Education (Wales) Act 2014, all School Learning Support Workers will need to be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) from 1st April 2016.
