The Governing Body wish to appoint a Temporary Teaching Assistant to work at Hawthorn Primary School to support pupils recovering from the impact of Covid school closures on their learning and wellbeing.
Hawthorn Primary School is a very happy, welcoming school which caters for approximately 220 pupils aged between 3-11. We are located very close to the A470 and M4, which makes us very easy to reach. We work closely with our families and the local community. Our busy office is the hub of this.
Main duties of the role- To help pupils recover from the impact of the Covid closure, by delivering a programme of differentiated work to individuals or small groups of pupils, in or out of the classroom, which has been planned by the teacher.
Skills-Candidates should be able to use ICT effectively to support learning, have good organisational skills, have the ability to work as part of a team, with minimal supervision and to act on own initiative. The ability to empathise with adults, children and young people is essential
