SCHOOL THERAPY SUPPORT COORDINATOR

Nether Hall School is a very effective, well-resourced Foundation special school for pupils aged 4 – 19 years who have severe and profound learning difficulties.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our team to coordinate and deliver a range of therapy programmes as directed by, and working closely with, a multi-disciplinary team of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and other health care professionals. The successful candidate will support and train classroom staff in the effective delivery of the programmes and the usage of specialist equipment. The job role also includes leading moving and handling training for staff across the school.
We are looking for someone who has:
➢ A good standard of education with proven literacy, numeracy and IT skills (tested at interview);
➢ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
➢ Experience in dealing with a wide range of people both face-to-face and on the telephone;
➢ Experience of working in a multi professional environment to achieve the highest standard of care and education for our students;
➢ The ability to work self-directed with minimum supervision;
➢ Be self-motivated and exceptionally well-organised;
➢ Experience of providing a high quality service to an organisation.

Hours: 37 hours per week, school term time, 38 weeks per year + 5 training days
Mon/Wed/Fri 8.00am to 3:30pm;
Tues/Thurs 8am to 4:30pm (less 30 minutes lunch break daily)
Some flexibility in working times may be necessary.
Salary: LG Band 6 points 15 – 18, £24,799 - £26,999 full time salary
Actual pro-rata starting salary at point 15:
Less than 5 years’ service with the Local Authority £21,300 (85.89% FTE):
More than 5 years’ service £21,781 (87.83% FTE)

The successful applicant will need to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure via the DBS check.
