Due to a significant expansion in pupil numbers Moorcroft School is looking to appoint TA2s to Visual Impairment Programmes.
Working hours: 36 hours per week, Term time only + 5 training days (39 weeks);
Salary information: Scale 4 + Special Schools Allowance: £1,107 (Dependent upon qualification and experience).
We are seeking applications not only from people wanting to develop as teaching assistants, but also from graduates who are considering a teaching career in special education
Moorcroft is a school for Secondary age young people with Severe, Complex and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, and ASD. We are part of a multi academy trust with 6 other special schools and are planning to open two new free schools in the next few years. We provide a high quality education for all of our students and have recently been judged as “Outstanding” by Ofsted.
Due to a significant increase in pupil numbers we have vacancies for TA2s to deliver Visual Impairment Programmes to start immediately. The TA2 will be the “lead TA” in each class. As well as supporting the teacher to deliver everyday learning programmes they will also be responsible for a specialist area. The VI TA2 will support the teacher to deliver programmes within a class class.
The successful candidate will be expected to undertake relevant training so they can support other class staff with VI programmes.
