This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team in developing young people’s skills to meet the demanding needs of employment in the Motor industry.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, qualified person to join our Motor Vehicle Department. This role involves preparing workshops for practical activities ready for learners and tutors, an element of teaching groups of learners in workshop practical session only, working with tutors and colleagues to ensure safety in workshops for all and organising equipment maintenance activities to be scheduled and completed within a set time frame.
The successful applicant will have a work-based qualification i.e. NVQ in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair to Level 3 as well as a good understanding of the technical knowledge which underpins the practice. The successful applicant will also have strong experience of work, especially with light vehicles, in a commercial setting as well as some experience of training in the workplace or working with young people in a different context. You will need good communication and organisational skills and the ability to engage and motivate learners to succeed. You must be prepared to undertake initial training to develop teaching skills and be ready for on-going professional development in teaching practices in line with the needs of the role.
