We are looking to appoint a motivated, organised and innovative Teacher of Welsh. The successful candidate will work very closely with the Director of Faculty and the Welsh curriculum coordinator to support both the Welsh and the MFL departments with the exciting development and restructuring of our curriculum provision. The successful candidate will be able to teach Welsh to at least GCSE level, and preferably to A Level. Additionally, the ability to teach a Modern Foreign Language at KS3 would be a strong advantage.
The successful candidate will need to be proactive in monitoring the progress of pupils in their classes and will need to ensure that pupils make appropriate academic progress across their teaching groups, and consistently across the faculty.
Crucially, the candidate should be able to transmit an enthusiasm for language learning to students, should instil confidence and should be willing and able to play a full part in working with others in order to develop the Welsh dimension and the Curriculum Cymreig across the school, amongst many other things.
