Work Placement and Progression Coordinator. Health and Science. Part Time (29.60 hours). Term Time Only (40 weeks per year). Permanent.
We are looking to appoint a Work Placement and Progression Coordinator to join the Health and Science curriculum area. As a Work Placement and Progression Coordinator you will work with students, colleagues and employers to secure work experience opportunities for students on a full time study programme. You will carry out Health and Safety risk assessments and act as the first point of contact for the employer and the students prior to and during the work experience opportunity. You will support students to become independent through the development of their employability skills, preparing them to progress to positive destinations.
The successful applicant will hold a Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Information, Advice and Guidance along with a Level 2 minimum in English and maths (GCSE Grade C or above, GCSE Grade 4 or above, or equivalent). Relevant experience and knowledge of the Health sector would be beneficial along with an understanding of T-levels and the changes these will bring. You will also have comprehensive knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook.
You will be a proactive individual and possess excellent communication skills with the ability to approach difficult issues in a calm and responsible manner. You will be able to build effective working relationships with employers, colleagues and students to maximise opportunities with local connections within the Health and Science sectors to help carry out the job effectively.
