Work Welsh Tutor
To be responsible for coordinating and teaching the Work Welsh provision across NPTC Group of Colleges. The post holder will be expected to hold 1:1 and mentoring sessions to ensure that lecturers benefit from developing their Welsh language skills that will enable them to use Welsh formally and informally around the college, with students, staff and in lessons. To be responsible for developing and delivering Welsh language courses for various purposes and at every level (from complete beginners to fluency) for the Group’s staff and students.
Salary: Associate Lecturer Scales 1 – 4, £20,571 - £24,276 per annum, pro rata. Main Grade Scales 1 – UP1, £24,807 - £37,645 per annum, pro rata (for qualified lecturers).
Hours of Work: Band A. Annualised hours 699.6 – 835 (including occasional early mornings, evenings and weekends).
Contract: Flexible Fractional, Fixed term until 19 July 2021.
Location: NPTC Group of Colleges (initially based at Neath College).
Qualifications: Candidates must hold a level 6 qualification in a relevant discipline, have relevant experience teaching Welsh for Adults at all levels and hold a teaching qualification. You must have level 2 qualifications in Maths, English and Welsh (GCSE or equivalent) and be IT literate equivalent to level 2. You must also have the ability to communicate in Welsh at a fluent level.
