An exciting opportunity has arisen for strong candidate/s to support the children at St Francis Catholic Primary School in Caterham. This role is in Treetops, our the breakfast and after-school club. It is a relaxed environment allowing for flexibility and indoor and outdoor working. Please indicate with your application which hours you are interested in.
1: Monday 3:30-6:15pm
2: Monday to Friday 3:30-6:15pm
3: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday: 3:30-4:45pm
4: Tuesday 3:30-4:45pm
5: Friday 8-8:45am
We are looking for energetic and creative individuals who are passionate about working with children. As well as leading activities, organising games and craft, supporting the children and supervising free play, candidates will need to help prepare after-school snacks, administer First Aid as needed, liaise with parents at collection and drop-off and follow school policy and procedures. The club is offered for children of all ages from Reception to Year 6 (4-11 year-olds), so candidates must feel comfortable working with children of all ages.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
A good team-player who can show initiative, the successful candidate will support children across the school and work under the supervision of the Club Supervisor or Club Manager.
Previous experience working in a childcare capacity, or within a school setting is preferred, although not essential. Candidates must demonstrate patience, empathy, reliability and the ability to remain calm under pressure, whilst being enthusiastic with a positive approach.
We offer training for food hygiene, as food preparation is part of the role. The Manager and Supervisor plan activities, but play-workers can lead them and help prepare for future activities, as needed. All contributions are welcomed.
