A year 3 teacher is required for March 2022, in a wonderful, small, British International Primary School in Qatar, which first opened back in 2011 - the second school to their original opening in 2009.
With a maximum of 15 students per class and a small staff cohort, there is an incredibly close-knit, family feel community across the entire school, with every staff member knowing every child and parent, it really does bring everyone together, providing a strong support system for everyone, as well as fantastic student to teacher relationships.
School is amazing for promotion and CPD. With teachers taking science leads, community links leads and more every year, there are endless opportunities for growth and development, for each and every staff member.
The building is an old, converted palace, with huge outdoor playing fields, a full size tennis court and much more, so is certainly an enjoyable place to work and learn.
Staff hours are 6:30am – 2pm Sunday and Thursday and 6:30am – 2:45pm Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Student hours are 7:15am – 12:30pm, so there is plenty of time for the marking and planning to be done within school hours. You will be provided with curriculum booklets for the year and the long-term planning is done for you, as school have cut as much paperwork as they possibly can, making the workload so much more manageable for you.
Bowling, dinner, brunches, whatever you can imagine on a weekend, the team are out together enjoying themselves, so be prepared for making a load of wonderful new friends, ready to show you around and welcome you with open arms!
Situated in Doha, the beautiful, buzzing and exciting Capital City of Qatar, you can enjoy the endless amounts of attractions such as the Corniche Promenade, numerous parks, traditional markets, fantastic nightlife, beautiful weather, stunning beaches and pools, known for its weekend brunches, currently getting ready to host the next world cup and so much more – something for everyone!
