Year 5 Teaching Assistant - one year post
Salary: Grade 3
Hours: 27.5 hours for 1 year (full-time post)
Working Pattern: 8.45am – 3.45pm
Contract Type: Temporary contract for 1 year - 31st August 2022 – July 2023
We are looking to appoint an experienced teaching assistant to work in our Year 5 class alongside our new Deputy Head Teacher, on an initial one-year contract. Based in our UKS2 unit, you will be working within an experienced team supporting all children and carrying out all TA duties as a general classroom support as well as working with smaller groups on key focus areas in the afternoons. Coppice Farm Primary School is a friendly school with committed and supportive staff and school community. Inspected in January 2019, all aspects were judged as Good and we continue to work hard and diligently to provide the best for our pupils. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, engaging and focused teaching assistant who will share our school ethos of providing excellent teaching and learning. The successful candidate will be join us at a very exciting time as our current Deputy Head takes over as Head Teacher.

About this post
An experienced Teaching Assistant is required to join our skilled and motivated team from 31st August 2022. This is a 1-year post, commencing on 31st August 2022 for a teaching assistant to work within our Upper Key Stage 2 unit. Kindness and patience along with good behaviour management and the ability to adapt meet the pupils’ individual needs will be essential. You will work closely with the Class Teacher and the KS2 team so the ability to build positive relationships with all stakeholders is essential for this role.
The post requires somebody with initiative and dedication, who will work under the direction of our Deputy Head in his role as class teacher. A good understanding of the Key Stage Two curriculum and experience working within this phase is highly desirable.
