Felbridge Primary School is a village school with a rich history and an exciting future. Founded in 1783 to provide an education for 12 children in a schoolhouse which is still used today, the school has grown steadily over the years and now provides modern accomodation and a purpose built learning environment.We are a one form entry primary school catering for the 4 -11 age range with a maximum of 210 children.There are three members of staff on our Leadership Team - two Co-Headteachers and a School Business Manager.There are nine class teachers (some full and some part time) and two Co-Headteachers, one of whom is also the SENCO. We have excellent administrative and support staff who are fully involved in the life of the school.Each classteacher has a teaching assistant working alongside them. Hours vary according to the age of the children. Our teaching assistants also run a variety of special needs intervention programmes, led and supported by our SENCO.We have a Governing Body who are committed and supportive. They are fully involved in decision making and are pro-active in the development of the school.Our parents are very supportive of their children. They have high expectations of the school and take a keen interest in their child's progress. We have an excellent turn out on parents evening and at social events. The PTA raises approximately £10,000 per year.In our last Ofsted inspection (December 2015) we were graded as good.Felbridge Primary is a member of the East Grinstead Group of Schools, known as EGGS. The group comprises all the local primaries that feed into the two secondary schools Imberhorne and Sackville. The two secondary schools are also members of the group. Members of our School Council attend meetings of the pupil EGGS group, known as Omlets (Our Magnificent Little Eggs Team)! We are the only Surrey school within the EGGS group. We are also part of the Tandridge Confederation, our local group of Surrey schools.We have a range of projects for development during this academic year. These include:Increase every child's belief in their potential as learners through Maths To develop and improve all children's behaviour for learning to maximise their learning potentialTo develop the role of subject leaders in monitoring and leading a subject to improve the quality of provisionAt Felbridge, we work as a team, supporting and helping colleagues as and when it is needed. We are committed to raising standards and have very high expectations of children and each other.
