Welcome from Head of School

At Rendell we are very proud of our warm, welcoming and vibrant multi-cultural community.  We hope that you will find the information in our prospectus helpful and that it gives you a flavour of the beliefs and values that define us and makes us a special place to be a part of.

Our curriculum offers a wide range of exciting opportunities and learning experiences both in school and through an extensive range of clubs, day and residential trips.

Our dedicated staff care about the needs of all our community, and strive to give children the opportunity to grow and develop as individuals during their time with us.  We fully recognise how important it is to work closely with our parents and carers to ensure our children are provided with the best possible start to their school lives.

Rendell Primary School is an independent academy school that works in close partnership with other primary academy schools in Loughborough, as part of the Loughborough Primary Academy Partnership.  As a group we collaborate across the town to provide extended learning opportunities for our children and to strengthen professional development for our staff.

I am immensely proud to be the Headteacher of Rendell Primary School and Pre-School. You are warmly encouraged to visit us and discover why we are all ‘Passionate About Learning’.

About Us

Rendell School has been serving its local community for over 100 years having celebrated its centenary in 2003. The school offers a purpose built environment with modern facilities and resources. We serve a very diverse catchment area with children coming from both private and social housing in North Loughborough. Our Number on Roll is 330. We also run Little Owls Pre-school on our site. Our dedicated staff care about the needs of all our community, and strive to give children the opportunity to grow and develop as individuals during their time with us.

We fully recognise how important it is to work closely with our parents and carers to ensure our children are provided with the best possible start to their school lives. Children's learning is supported by a skilled team of teachers and learning support staff which has an effective blend of experience and youth. Our curriculum offers a wide range of exciting opportunities and learning experiences both in school and through an extensive range of clubs, day and residential trips. The school grounds include a school field, playgrounds, a garden area and an adjacent play area shared with the community with varied play equipment. We are part of a loose collaborative group of nine schools in the area. The Loughborough Primary Academy Partnership works together on joint activities such as curriculum development, monitoring and evaluation, and quality assurance work. It is a dynamic group that seeks to improve the educational experience for children in Loughborough.

Rendell prides itself on being a warm, welcoming and friendly school with a rich diversity of cultures.  Our mission is to give all our children the opportunity to grow and develop as individuals during their time with us and to work closely with our parents and carers to ensure our children are provided with the best possible start to their school lives. All at Rendell work incredibly hard to provide a stimulating learning environment which we are very proud of and active learning is at the heart of our curriculum which is lively, creative and engaging, combined with the expectation of high standards.
