Overview

We are a large primary school (870 on roll) representing our local community.  We are very proud of our rich and diverse ethnic mix and the way in which we include all of our pupils, in all areas of school life.  We have high academic standards and ensure that our overall provision is broad and vibrant.  Children participate  in a wide range of learning opportunities which foster creativity and as they mature,  greater depth and understanding.

Aims

We aim for our children:-

  • to attend school everyday to be safe and secure at school
  • to read, write and communicate effectively to use and apply their mathematical knowledge accurately

  • to respond respectfully to one another and to adults within the school community
  • to be resilient and have a ‘can do’ attitude to enjoy school life!

  • to be committed to the needs of all the children and show they care
  • to be vigilant in ‘safeguarding’ the children
  • to provide teaching and learning of the highest quality
  • to act as positive role models in all they say and do to champion the children’s rights and opportunities to communicate effectively with one another, parents and children
  • to provide a creatively enriched curriculum which is stimulating and fun
