Overview

Our lovely building is nearly 80 years old and has seen many changes. It began life as a girls’ secondary school in the 1930s and many visitors remember the large sewing and cooking rooms. It became a junior school in the 1960s and has seen thousands of children pass through its doors. We welcome back many parents, grandparents and great grandparents who have happy memories of their early school life at Folville.

The name Folville is a mystery to us. In french it would roughly translate to “Mad Town”, which occassionally is quite fitting! More likely the name comes from the local Leicestershire villages which have Folville in their names. We are all very proud of our school and believe it offers something quite unique to the children who attend.

The pupils at Folville are given a great start in life both academically and socially. We have high standards in all that we do and we strive to bring out the best in every single child
