High expectations for work and behaviour are central to our school. We want all of our pupils to "Believe" in themselves and their abilities; to "Persevere" with tasks even when they are challenging and to "Succeed" at school and in life. We aim to provide a broad curriculum built on core key skills with an extensive and varied range of opportunities across all subjects to enthuse our pupils and enable them to reach their full learning potential.

History of Our School

Beaconsfield Primary School is a thriving community school in the heart of the vibrant Southall community. Our school is located in a large Victorian building and we are very fortunate to have many specialist rooms for activities such as music, science, art & design.

The school was founded in 1908 as a high school for girls. From 1916 to 1919 the school was used as a hospital (No.2 Australian Auxiliary Hospital, Southall) to treat over 7000 wounded Australian soldiers from the battlefields of World War 1. After the hospital use the school was converted into a mixed junior and infant school. The school is now a mixed primary and nursery school with a specialist ARP provision.

With the increasing demand for school places the school has now expanded to become a two form entry school.

Our newest building contains a kitchen/dining room facility, two specialist classrooms for our ARP pupils and four larger modern classrooms along with group work rooms and sensory and soft play rooms.

In addition to the newest building the existing Victorian building has been extensively refurbished and modernised. All work incorporates modern design features and supports sustainability with solar panels, reduced drainage run-off and efficient insulation and heating.  The next 100 years for Beaconsfield will be as successful as the last 108 years has been.

Local Area

Teaching in any country is a wonderful career.  Teaching in London is a wonderful life.

Living in and around the London Borough of Ealing is perfect for young professionals and teachers with the travel bug.  Heathrow Airport and the heart of London are 20 miles away. The Elizabeth Line has direct and fast links to Paddington and Central London.

The borough of Ealing is a fantastic place in which to live and work. Located in the heart of West London it comprises seven districts - Ealing, Southall, Hanwell, Acton, Northolt, Perivale and Greenford. Each of these areas has unique characteristics, and together they form one of the most vibrant and diverse communities in Britain.

Ealing Broadway is home to many shops, pubs and parks and Shepherd’s Bush is around the corner, providing access to Westfield shopping centre.  As one of London's busiest boroughs, there are all the recreational facilities you would expect in a lively metropolitan centre, with museums, a local theatre, cinemas, galleries and an eclectic mix of restaurants to choose from.

If you’re tired of London, you’re tired of life.
