St Martin’s C of E Schools are high achieving, happy, vibrant and forward thinking schools in which children excel themselves, both academically and socially. Our eager children have a real thirst for learning and our excellent staff are committed and dedicated to ensuring that each and every child achieves. We have high standards and expect the best. 

We are a Federated Infant School and Junior School and we are lucky to benefit from unusually generous surroundings which include a large playing field. In addition, we have well laid out buildings which include a fully fitted kitchen for use by children, a dedicated music room and a dedicated inclusion centre accessible to children and families at all times. However, we feel it is our strong, inclusive Christian ethos that really sets us apart.

This is a thoughtful and nurturing place to learn, for every child, whatever their background. The atmosphere is calm, ordered and purposeful – never rigid or over directed - but disciplined, respectful and organised. We have high aspirations for all our pupils and believe that through stretching children, we build their confidence and self-esteem, as well as ensuring high academic attainment.

In September 2016 St Martin's Infant School and St Martin's Junior School hard federated under one Govening Body. Both schools have three forms of entry, and we currently have 600 children across the school. We share the pleasantly wooded site with the independently run St Martin's Pre-School. Both schools have Aided status, with the local Church of England parish of St Martin as our joint foundation.

Together with the Diocese of Guildford, the parish appoints a majority of the Governors.  Although we are a church foundation, we aim to serve all the local community. Our ethos is “Christian but inclusive”. We are pleased to cater for children of other faiths, and of none. We treat everyone with respect, and greatly value the mutual enrichment that comes from this diversity. Our overriding aim is to create a safe and stimulating environment in which all our pupils can reach their full potential.

This committment extends to ensuring we work hard, uphold the highest levels of professionalism all whilst maintinaing a healthy work life balance. Pension Scheme As a contracted member of staff you will be automatically enrolled into either the Teachers’ Pension Scheme or the Surrey Pension Fund (whichever is appropriate). Car Parking Free car parking is available on the school premises. Spaces are on a ‘first come first served’ basis.  There are also bike racks available. Childcare Vouchers We participate in the childcare voucher scheme, which provides tax benefits to working parents.
