Overview

We are a ‘Good’ school OFSTED (March 2013) where ‘Pupils make good progress ‘

‘Teachers know each pupils needs well. They provide activities which are interesting, lively and varied’. ‘Pupils enjoy school, they behave well and feel safe ‘

‘School promotes pupils Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural development well. Pupils enjoy a wide range of activities and get on well together. They are being well prepared for a future in the modern world’ (OFSTED Report 2012 extracts).

Our vision statement of ‘Believe Belong and Achieve’ is a living and breathing representation of our school where expectations of ALL pupils are the highest for Learning , Behaviour , Attendance and Punctuality. As a learning community we are committed to providing only the best quality teaching and learning opportunities both in the classroom and outdoors. We have an exciting and engaging curriculum based on an enquiry approach, which aims to develop positive learning behaviours and key skills for life long learning. An extensive program for ‘Learning Away’ and the use of specialist provision in school  enhances learning for all of our children .

As a small school we know our children well and acknowledge that building positive relationships coupled with high expectations and high quality learning are the keys to success .However parents/carers are important partners in every child’s education and with our support we actively encourage and expect parents/carers to engage in supporting their child’s learning.

At Henry Whipple Primary we support every child and family to ‘Believe’ and to ‘Belong’ so that every child ‘Achieves’ their absolute potential
