New College Leicester is an 11-18 community college serving over 900 students, based towards the west of Leicester city. It is a Foundation School. The Trustees, Governors and all of the staff at the college are passionate about our mission to provide an education and service which results in “Outstanding progress for all” – for both students and staff. We understand that individual students have individual talents with a variety of hopes and aspirations. It is our job to ensure that each one grows and flourishes here at New College Leicester. We have very high expectations of our students and work closely with them to identify any specific needs and support they may require. We encourage parents to take a full and active involvement in their child’s education at New College Leicester. We believe that close partnership with parents ensures that every student achieves as much as they can in their time with us. Students are expected to play an active part in the life of the college, to care about, and contribute to the community and to treat one another with mutual respect. Our most valuable resource is our staff; whether they are teachers, support staff or volunteers, they contribute to the students’ welfare and progress. We only employ people who share our energy and passion about making a difference to the lives of young people. We give all our staff and volunteers the support, challenge and training for the work they do in the College to ensure that their work meets the high quality and standards we expect. We are proud of our links with the local community and are eager to grow and develop these further. We welcome and encourage community groups to use our fantastic college facilities and work with us to put New College Leicester at the heart of our local community.
New College Leicester is an integral part of the local community. We are keen to grow and develop our community links and are continually looking for new ways to develop the college to meet the needs of the wider community. We have excellent links with many community partners including local primary schools, the police, local community groups and the local leisure centre. Our students are expected to take an active part in the life of the local community so they can grow into active citizens within it.
We are fortunate at New College Leicester to be working with some great partners who are all very much working collaboratively with the us. These partners are from the public, private and voluntary sectors and they all share the same ethos, principals and values as the college. Both our Learning and Sports Strategies are driven by the strap line Outstanding Progress for All. We are convinced that working collaboratively that we will deliver this strap line with greater success than anyone organisation working alone.
There is no doubt that the college is on an exciting journey and it is keen to engage like minded partners along the way. The Learning and Sports Village concept is more than a concept it is about producing with our partners outstanding outcomes for our students, the local community and the City of Leicester.
We are partnered with:

Our Primary Links:
New College Leicester is recognised by Government and the Department for education for its effective support towards Primary School PE and School Sport. Following the political changes in 2010 and the disbanding of the previous government’s policies, school sport has become a political football. Despite this the College have put together a package of support that sees outreach work provided to primary schools supported by opportunities for primary schools to visit New College and our fantastic facilities. We are currently providing support to the following schools
