Hans Price Academy is a forward thinking Academy based in Weston-super-Mare. The Academy provides education to 600 students at KS3/KS4. The children at Hans Price Academy are excited to learn and are real ambassadors for our diverse community. They benefit from a hugely positive and supportive learning environment. Hans Price Academy is part of the Cabot Learning Federation (CLF). The CLF is one of only 30 National Maths Hubs and is the largest non-diocesan academy group in the South West. The CLF currently sponsors 13 academies, seven of which are secondary, five are primary and one is a studio school catering for students aged 14 to 19. English in the Cabot Learning Federation is vibrant, growing and successful. We are a supportive team of nearly 70 English specialist teachers and our central belief is the power of collaboration to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students. We believe passionately in the role of literature in our lives alongside the importance of literacy and communication.In this role you will be: • Continuing the development of subject specialist delivery in English• Monitoring/tracking individual student and class progress, anticipating, or acting upon any issues detrimental to learning and referring on where appropriate.• Ensuring appropriate schemes of work and lesson plans are in place and appropriate to the learning needs of students• Researching best practice from across the country and internationally in relation to developing learning within the Programme specific area• Taking responsibility for your professional learning and development by taking part in the Academy performance management process and attending INSET and CPD sessions as required. You will be QTS qualified. You will be a highly committed professional with a high level of emotional intelligence, and keen to create something unique and move beyond expectations in learning for life. You will share our passion to deliver an outstanding student experience and have the ability to deliver outstanding results. You will be an excellent communicator. You will be innovative, creative and flexible in your approach to achieve the best results.
