The successful applicant will be responsible for development of KS3 English (Y7 and Y8), whole school literacy and lead the English department in the absence of the current Subject Leader of English (during Maternity Leave). They will be an excellent teacher and will have a proven record of promoting high levels of achievement across the full range of ages and abilities. They will have a specific whole school area of responsibility that involves looking after achievement, progress and welfare of pupils within one of our Houses, as well as continuing to oversee the running of the English department when the current Subject Leader returns from Maternity Leave.This post would suit either an experienced leader of English looking for an opportunity for further career development or a second in English with the drive and ambition necessary to take on this exciting new role within the Senior Leadership Team.We have high expectations of our students and provide a high-quality education based on the principle of achievement and opportunity for all, so that our students develop as responsible, cultured and employable young people.
