The Children’s Hospital School meets the needs of children who are unable to attend their own school due to ill health. We are looking to appoint an outstanding practitioner who is able to lead English and Literacy across all areas of the school.

We are seeking a committed, caring, flexible and resilient professional to complement the work of a truly exceptional team. You will be an inspirational teacher and leader who is uncompromising in the pursuit of improving standards in the education and support of children with medical needs.

The successful candidate will:

• have a natural passion and enthusiasm for English with an ability and proven track record of raising attainment in English and Literacy
• be an outstanding leader with the energy to inspire, motivate and challenge students and staff alike
• be creative and dynamic in the classroom at all key stages
• have the skills to form excellent working relationships with students, staff, parents, governors and medical professionals
• have an appetite for change, innovation and the development of new ways to engage young people with medical needs
• be able to effectively monitor key performance indicators and understand how data can be used to inform planning, intervention and school improvement
• make a significant contribution to the wider life of the school
• have the desire and potential to further develop their leadership skills within the school
