Holy Cross Catholic Primary School is seeking to appoint cleaner to maintain a clean, tidy, safe and secure environment for pupils, staff and visitors to the school. This position is for a fixed term contract for the Spring and Summer terms, starting 15th January until 13th July 2018, for 10 hours per week(2 hours per day), term time only.

Main requirements of the role:

• to carry out cleaning duties as directed in specified indoor and outdoor areas, including: sweeping, dusting, wall washing, toilet cleaning and use of a vacuum cleaner
• to follow all health and safety requirements of the role
• to work to a daily/weekly cleaning rota with some yearly “big cleans”

The successful candidate will:

• have respect of the Catholic ethos of our school and work as part of a team
• have experience of using basic cleaning equipment
• be self-motivated and able to work on initiative
