A rare vacancy has arisen for an experienced teacher to be the curriculum lead for Chemistry at this highly successful school in the picturesque riverside market town of Evesham, which is located on the edge of the Cotswolds within approximately 30 minutes of Worcester, Cheltenham and Stratford, and an hour from Birmingham.

We require a well-qualified teacher of Chemistry, who is committed to the highest standards of academic achievement and able to teach the subject to A Level. The ability to teach a second Science subject to at least GCSE Level is also essential. A TLR2 payment of £2,665 per year is attached to this post for the curriculum lead responsibility.

Our Science Department has recently benefited from a £1.2m refurbishment and modernisation programme, meaning that lessons are taught in light and airy state-of-the-art laboratories and classrooms.

Prince Henry’s is a popular and over-subscribed 13-18 High School with approximately 1280 on roll including more than 330 in one of Worcestershire’s largest Sixth Forms. The school enjoys an excellent reputation locally and has consistently been judged outstanding by Ofsted, most recently in May 2013. Two Ofsted Survey inspections undertaken during 2014 looking at provision for the most able students, and also for alternative curriculum provision both praised the school’s ethos and its ability to deliver excellent teaching and learning to students of all abilities.

In May 2014, the school was awarded National Teaching School Status and, having been accredited with SCITT status in summer 2016, accepted its first trainees in September 2017.
