Salary - Main/Upper Pay Scale + SEN 1 (£2106) & TLR 2B (£4442) Allowance.

The Children’s Hospital School meets the needs of children who are unable to attend their own school due to ill health. We are looking to appoint an outstanding practitioner who is able to lead our team at the Leicester Royal Infirmary.

We are seeking a committed, caring, flexible and resilient professional to complement the work of a truly exceptional team. You will be an inspirational teacher and leader who is uncompromising in the pursuit of improving standards in the education and support of children with medical needs.

You will be joining the school at an exciting time and will be able to make a significant contribution to the future direction and development of this unique learning environment. Plans are being developed for brand new School facilities within the redeveloped Children’s Hospital over the next 4 years. You will have access to superb continuing professional development opportunities and on-going career development support.

The successful candidate will:

• be creative and dynamic in the classroom at all key stages
• have the skills to form excellent working relationships with students, staff, parents, governors and medical professionals

• be able to effectively monitor key performance indicators and understand how data can be used to inform planning, intervention and school improvement
• make a significant contribution to the wider life of the school
• have the desire and potential to further develop their leadership skills within the school
