Discovery Schools Academy Trust are seeking to appoint an excellent Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator who shares our values and ambitions, and has the vision, drive, resilience and experience to build on our success to date and provide further capacity to our trust.

We require an outstanding Classroom Teacher who has a passion for Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND); be dedicated to inspire and motivate our children to learn and have access to an outstanding education. This is a very exciting opportunity for a committed professional to make the role their own.

A good knowledge of SEND is a pre-requisite; but we also believe willingness to learn from others and a commitment to professional development is equally important. The National Award for SEND is necessary alongside a willingness to continue to develop. Excellent CPD opportunities and development will be provided and active research is very much encouraged.

The post advertised is a temporary position according to the needs of the school, with the possibility to become a permanent position within the wider Trust in the future. The reason for this appointment is to cover Maternity within the current team. We would ideally like the successful candidate to start as soon as possible to enable a smooth transition.
