The Nottingham Academy requires an exceptional Data Manager to provide technical direction, advice and leadership for data related services at this large multi-site academy.

This role represents an excellent opportunity for a data expert to join our team. Reporting directly into the Lead Principal, Ged Rae, you will be responsible for all aspects of data across the whole academy. This will include liaising with various senior leaders as well as managing a small data team. You will use your expert analytical, planning and leadership skills to develop data systems which enable the leadership team to effectively manage the academy and improve outcomes for pupils.

The Nottingham Academy, the first academy in the Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT) is one of the largest 3-19 schools in the country, with its own nursery, primary, secondary and sixth form provision across three sites, each with its own Head of School. The most recent Ofsted, in November 2015, judged the academy consistently ‘Good’ and commented that despite its increasing size, it feels calm and orderly and has an atmosphere focused on learning.

To be successful you must:

• have extensive relevant experience and a knowledge of data analysis and research functions
• have an excellent understanding of Microsoft packages including excel
• be skilful in the use of the SIMS Management Information System
• have first class communication skills
• be able to effectively lead, motivate and work as part of a team.

When joining GAT you can be satisfied that you will be joining an organisation that is committed to improving the outcomes for its pupils, despite their background or starting points. GAT employees also receive bespoke CPD offerings from the Learning Alliance, opportunity for career progression, generous holiday allowance and access to a competitive pension scheme. Continuous service will be honoured for candidates moving from local authorities.
