Due to the retirement of our present Head Teacher next summer, the Governors are seeking to appoint a new Head Teacher who will continue to build on the success of our inspirational, happy and caring school, rated good with outstanding elements in July 2016.

Are you the inspirational leader who has the dedication, enthusiasm and skills to lead the continued development of our already great school?

You would be leading an expanding 16 class school of 480 children (this will rise to 18 classes by September 2019) located on a small private housing estate on the outskirts of Guildford supported by a fantastic team of staff and parents, working in close partnership with an experienced governing body.

We have a strong community atmosphere which permeates all that we do in our school and we are eager to retain this. The quality of relationships between staff, pupils, governors and parents at the school is excellent.

We are extremely proud of all that our pupils achieve in class, in school and out in the wider community as a committed Rights Respecting level 2 School. We believe the school needs an inspirational leader who will nourish the children’s love of learning, and their independence, initiative and understanding of others. To enable Worplesdon to move forward in the next stage of its development, we wish to appoint someone who is passionate about progressing learning and raising standards still further.

Our school has:
• Engaged, inquisitive, respectful and happy children.

• Involved, committed and informed governors
• Active and supportive parents and helpers

You will be:
• Dedicated to helping children achieve the very best outcomes in their learning

• Able to inspire, and work in partnership with pupils, staff, governors, parents and the wider community in order to provide the best opportunities for our children
• Passionate about raising the standards of teaching and learning
• A creative thinker who possesses the skills to lead sensitively

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed, and this should be arranged with the school office.
