0.4 FTETemporary for up to 12 monthsThis job contributes to the Directorate's main goal which is to help all children and young people to:* thrive and make the best use of their talents;* live healthy and safe lives;* be confident and caring individuals;* know and receive their rights.The main purpose of this job is to work as a Key Stage 2 specialist teacher for the ASD Service in collaboration with the Governing Body of Llangynwyd Primary School where, through a Specialist Teacher with high quality skills to be responsible for ASD in the key stage 2 ASD resource centre where they will be required to support a wide range of additional learning needs. You will be required to work in close liaison with a Speech and Language Therapist and other supporting professionals.The ASD resource centre is hosted in a mainstream school where pupils from the class experience integration into the School whenever appropriate. Therefore, you will be expected to play an important part in the life of the school.We are looking to appoint a hardworking, child-centred person to join our enthusiastic team. Experience / qualification in working with pupils with Autistic Spectrum Disorder is an essential requirement. This post requires a criminal records check through the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS)
