Overview

The staff at Furzefield have a strong commitment to ensuring our school provides the best education possible to prepare our children for the challenges of the 21st century. We provide an excellent learning journey, developing a love of learning that enables our children to be confident, happy and caring citizens with many happy memories of their time spent at school.

We expect the best from all our pupils and ourselves and articulate this through 5 simple core values: Kindness, Respect, Resilience, Aspiration and Inclusion. By providing a broad, balanced and exciting curriculum for all our children, we are able to recognise and develop individual talents and interests, instilling a love of learning that our children will enjoy throughout their lives. Learning is fun and interactive and children are well supported to reach their personal targets. Our school is set in extensive grounds with plenty of outdoor space, large playing fields, wildlife garden, pond, forest school, library and music room. Personal development and wellbeing is a key part of our educational offer and we are proud to have received a judgement of Outstanding for personal development (Good overall) in our recent Ofsted inspection (March 2023).
