Striving for Excellence and Enjoyment in Learning Guided by our Christian Values
St John's CofE Primary School Caterham seeks to offer the best possible experience to pupils and staff alike. St John’s is committed to promoting equality and diversity among our students and staff and developing a positive culture where everyone can develop to their full potential. The environment throughout the School is vibrant and stimulating.
We enjoy strong support from our local authority, the diocese and our governors as we seek to strengthen our curriculum provision still further in order to achieve the best possible outcomes for our pupils.
Our Christian ethos is at the heart of the School, with pupils’ learning influenced by key Christian values. Each term our children learn more about our Christian values, with a particular emphasis on the fundamental British values. These values play a positive role in our pupils’ development and are taught across every lesson as well as being developed through daily activities eg through social interaction, personal responsibility, collective worships, celebrations of different faiths and through links with the local community.
Our pupils enjoy access to the School's extensive grounds for sports and other activities while our close proximity to Junction 6 of the M25 and to Caterham railway station facilitates travel to and from the School.
