Lawns Park is a friendly, happy school with a purposeful atmosphere. We are all here to learn and we are eager to challenge ourselves and persevere, even when the learning journey feels difficult. At Lawns Park the children have a voice and they are listened to. Children own their learning with great pride.

We are committed to ensuring our curriculum is carefully crafted to enable children to build knowledge, skills and understanding. We aim to make learning enjoyable, purposeful and stimulating for all our children.

Lawns Park Primary School opened in September 1994. The new school was built to replace Old Farnley Primary School which stood on the same site. The school is situated on the south-west edge of Leeds in a very pleasant area close to Farnley Park and open countryside. Our pupils come from the upper part of the council estate in Old Farnley and from the more recent owner-occupied developments in New Farnley.

The new building is bright, modern and well resourced. We have an excellent library and computer suite. We have made several modifications to the building in recent times to create better facilities and use of space.

Recently we have had our re-assessment for Investors in People and we were praised for our staff development. We have also received our third Achievement Award from the DFES for maintaining our high standards in pupil progress.
