Our Mission

Digitech Studio School is a unique community of learning for creative 14-19 year old students. It is designed on a small scale to give everyone access to personalised learning, where everyone is known and individual needs are met.

Digitech students are immersed in digital, creative and media technologies that give high level employability skills, experiences and national qualifications. These studies are underpinned by a core of English, Mathematics and Science, to create clear pathways to the future. Strategically structured projects with regular experience in the workplace allow students to move with technology into the future.

Digitech provides a specialised, nurturing and ambitious environment. It establishes partnerships with parents, employers and the wider community to develop our digital leaders of the future. It provides leadership opportunities for all students to demonstrate passion, pride, enterprise and endeavour as they develop pathways towards their future world of work.

The Digitech Way:

We believe that all students can be successful.

We value learning and have high expectations of ourselves and others.

We underpin our high tech, creative and digital curriculum with core learning in English, maths and science.

Our building is a creative and productive space flooded with beautiful and impressive student work.

We use our time wisely focusing on deep learning rather than breadth.

Students produce impressive outcomes that they are proud of.

We invite parents, employers and members of the public to look at our work and exhibit our work in spaces beyond the school.

We actively develop skills for the world of work through employer engagement, experiences of work, personal coaching and careers education.

We encourage students to take an interest in the world around us and to empathise and support others.

We develop British Values through respectful behaviours, student leadership, student voice, student council and PSHE.

We keep each other safe.

Working for Us

Our Academy is part of the Cabot Learning Federation and benefits from all the advantages of being part of a group of academies.

Children visit other academies for sports and other events such as language or science activities.  Students from the secondary academies visit us for to perform drama and take part in sports activities, as well as lead some of them.  We share good practice between academies and teachers from all academies in the Federation visit the other academies for professional development.

Here at the Cabot Learning Federation (CLF), we like to celebrate. We celebrate exam results, collaboration, achievement, innovations and new ideas; we celebrate the determination of our students; we celebrate the amazing role played by staff; and we celebrate the efforts and successes of our team.

We celebrate the small achievements and the big. But far from being self-congratulatory, we are always looking to learn, to improve education and to make a positive difference for students and their families. And that's where you come in.

At the CLF, we value your experience, skills, expertise and ideas. We expect you to help us to be the very best education provider, and in return we will listen and support you to take your career in whichever direction you choose.

With the CLF you can be a leader, find solutions, become an expert, close the gaps and inspire and influence.  The range of roles and opportunities in the CLF is as diverse as the communities we serve.

Or you may simply want to fulfil your defined role to the very best of your abilities.

Cabot Learning Federation

Welcome to the Cabot Learning Federation (CLF). Our partnership is sponsored by Rolls-Royce PLC and University of the West of England (UWE). Our Federation consists of 12 academies in Bristol, Bath and Weston super Mare. Seven of these are secondary academies and five are primary. Together we educate over 6000 children between the ages of 3 and 19.John Cabot Academy & Bristol Brunel Academy opened in 2007, whilst Bristol Metropolitan Academy joined two years later.

In 2011, we added two more academies to our family when Hans Price Academy in Weston and King’s Oak Academy in Kingswood, Bristol joined us.

In September 2012, our family continued to grow with five new arrivals. Bath Community Academy joined as our sixth secondary academy and four primary schools in Bristol meant that for the first time we educated students from the ages of 3-19. Our new primary academy partners are Begbrook Primary, Minerva Primary, Frome Vale Academy and Summerhill Academy.

In September 2013, Wallscourt Farm Academy, a brand new school opened with 60 reception students.

In September 2014, Hanham Woods Academy joined us as the newest member of our group. We are proud that every academy that has been inspected since 2009 has been good or outstanding and our work is changing the educational landscape across the region.
