Overview

Our motto is "Learning in Love"   Sacred Heart is a thriving, happy school where everyone is valued and respected. Our academic standards are high with results consistently above the national average in both Key Stages over the last 10 years. However, statistics alone do not give a full picture. Sacred Heart Primary School has a wide range of exciting opportunities during class time and before and after school. We have excellent musical activities and despite our small playground we do exceptionally well at sport with all our children receiving two hours of Physical Education a week.

Over the past two years we have been developing a broader and more creative curriculum that will both challenge and excite our pupils.   We have many visitors to the school that enrich our children’s education. Many of our parents help in class and we have a thriving Parent Staff Association.

About Us

The Sacred Heart School opened in 1930 and is the parish school for Sacred Heart Church in Wimbledon and a close link is maintained through visits by the priests, the parish youth worker and frequent school masses. Some of the children also belong to the neighbouring parishes in New Malden and Worcester Park. The ethos of the school is rooted in our commitment to Catholic education, and we strive to provide an atmosphere and environment where children and staff are valued as individuals, and where a partnership between families, school, parish and wider community is actively developed. There is a spirit of lively interest in all that goes on both in and out of school.

The School has a nursery provision for 3 to 4 year olds and the main school takes children from Reception to Year 6. There is very active parental involvement in the school through the PA and parent volunteers. The Governors are supportive and active workers in the school. This is a community school and all parties concerned provide the happy and committed atmostphere for which it noted.
