Waverley School has been judged outstanding by OFSTED on three occasions; in 2010, 2012 and 2014. We are a Humanities Specialist College which became an all through school in September 2012. We achieved IIP Gold in December 2013 and have also been awarded Teaching School Status. This is an exciting time to join Waverley Education Foundation Trust. We have new landmark buildings that provide everyone with state of the art facilities for learning, teaching and training. As part of the exciting growth plans for the Trust, we are expanding our team to meet future requirements. We are looking for an experienced and influential Targeted Intervention Teacher – SEND to join our Resource Base team at Waverley School.

You will be required to plan and develop high quality lessons using a variety of approaches, to continually enhance teaching and learning for SEND and targeted students. You will need to maintain and build upon the standards achieved in the award for QTS (Secondary KS4) as set out by the Secretary of State. As a Targeted Intervention Teacher, you will ensure that the individual needs of students are met through a broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum with an on-going focus on raising standards for targeted students. You will also assist Faculty staff in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for all students with learning needs and differentiation of materials to meet the needs of all students.

The successful candidate(s) will need to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post and will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
