Mary Immaculate Catholic High School is a high achieving co-educational comprehensive school located in Cardiff, Wales. The schools' mission is to promote positive outcomes relationships founded on the values of respect, care, compassion and love.
The Brief
The school has been a user of leading job board eteach.com for 17years, advertising unlimited teaching and non-academic roles to its database of 1.8 million candidates. In 2013, Eteach were invited to work with the governing body to design an all-embracing campaign which resulted in the appointment of Huw Powell as the Head Teacher.
As the schools chosen recruitment partner, Huw thought it pertinent to invite Eteach in to find out how to maximise the benefits of their partnership, understand the education expertise on offer and learn about Eteach’s full range of talent management solutions that deliver candidates quickly, easily and cost effectively.
Eteach Director for Wales, Rod Bowen, used this meeting to understand the background and culture of the school, establish any pain points they were facing and ascertain the schools expectations and recruitment goals.
The Solution
In the years that followed, the school had a number of high profile roles, including a Deputy Head Teacher position and a Head of Maths vacancy. Eteach were involved in the design of two bespoke recruitment campaigns, which included the use of the job board and digital enhancements designed to extend the reach to the best candidates. They have supported the recruitment of staff in other areas also.
The enhancements comprised of website advertising to increase exposure of the schools job adverts, engagement through social media campaigns and emails targeted to the relevant candidate audience.
During these campaigns, the school utilised Rod’s expertise in building a strong employer brand to effectively communicate the schools values, personality and culture to prospective candidates. In addition to this, a full recruitment service was provided by Rod to source and present the highest calibre of active and passive candidates within the market place, including candidate management when needed.
The Results
