As an exclusively educational recruitment agency, we support hundreds of schools recruiting for cover supervisor jobs on short notice throughout the academic year. If you are an experienced cover supervisor, TA or HLTA based in Surrey, Berkshire or London and you are available on a day-to-day supply basis, please register in advance so that your documents and DBS check can be signed off, then let us know your weekly availability. A cover supervisor job will often have lesson planning supplied, however you must have an excellent command of behaviour and problem solving skills.
You may be asked to carry out a variety of tasks including:
- Leading the whole class while the teacher is away
- Dealing with challenging behaviour in the classroom
- Making sure all students are focused and on track to meeting the lesson objectives
- Preparing the classroom for lessons
- Helping any students who are struggling with the work set for their cover lessons
