About Us

Air Balloon Hill Primary School opened on the 1st of September 2009 following the amalgamation of two successful, but separate, infant and junior schools. The school, which is situated in the East Bristol suburb of St George, was built in 1905 to replace a former school in Crews Hole.

The school has expanded to four form entry to help cope with the high numbers of children in East Bristol. We are now an all-through four form entry school with a maximum of 120 children in all year groups.
