Overview

Our Vision

We care that our children understand, believe in and achieve their full potential. Instilling the high aspirations that we have for our children, community and ourselves. Learning together through:

  • Partnership and support
  • Shared values and
  • Expectations
  • Commitment

Our Values Our values in school support and promote the British values as defined in the 2011 Prevent Strategy.

The British values are:

  • Democracy
  • The rule of law
  • Individual Liberty
  • Mutual Respect
  • Tolerance of those of different faiths and beliefs

In school these values are promoted at all times and in all curriculum areas and form a key part of our expectations of children, parents and staff. We provide children with learning and experiential opportunities to see and practice the above values. In all lessons we promote the 4R’s (below) which underpin how we support children in being life-long learners and become responsible citizens.

Deep rooted within staff is the commitment to ensure the safety of children. We try to enable pupils to recognise their own worth, work well with others and become increasingly responsible for their own learning. We have four learning super heroes that are used to support children in developing their learning skills:

  • Reciprocity
  • Reflectiveness
  • Resilience
  • Resourcefulness

About Us

The Allenton Way Alongside consistent teaching practice we feel that having an active partnership with parents is vital to our children’s learning. Our shared vision is that children receive quality life experiences within school and the surrounding community, with a curriculum based on practical L2L activities, promoting life skills. We best prepare our children for life and the next step in their education by ensuring they are: aspirational, resilient, independent, confident, have a love of learning and who are securely numerate and literate. Our aspiration is that we foster and promote life-long learning where children value themselves, the community they live in and the school they learned in.
