Our aim at Ashton House School is to create a warm, caring and dynamic environment where each and every child can reach their full potential. As a small, one-form entry school we know each pupil as an individual in their own right, we are able to develop existing talents and encourage experimentation and discovery within a nurturing environment.

About Us

Ashton_House_About_Us.jpg

Ashton House is a successful, one-form entry, Prep School for boys and girls aged from 3 – 11 in the leafy west London area of Isleworth.

We pride ourselves in offering a caring educational atmosphere that inspires intellectual curiosity and gives children the confidence they need to thrive in the future.

Head Teacher's Welcome

“As a small school, at Ashton House we know each pupil as an individual in their own right. We are able to develop children’s existing talents and encourage experimentation and discovery within a nurturing environment. Children respond to our high expectations with enthusiasm and we are as thrilled as they are when they achieve or even surpass their targets. Of course, they also have time to be children and have fun with their friends as well.

Although we are non-selective on entry, Ashton House graduates successfully move onto a range of independent, grammar and well regarded state schools equipped to grasp the opportunities of secondary education with the firm basis of skills acquired here.

I would be delighted to show you around our happy school, for you to see it in action and judge whether it is the right setting for your child. Our best testimonials are the children you will see here, enjoying their learning and participating fully in all we have to offer.”

Mrs Angela Stewart – Head Teacher

Aims & Ethos

Honesty. Kindness. Courage. Commitment. Respect.

Ashton_House_Aims.jpg

At Ashton House we offer children the opportunity to succeed, be recognised, and to be valued. Pupils learn tolerance and respect for others, to celebrate diversity and begin to recognise the importance of their own contribution to society. The ‘Ashton House Way’ develops resilience, empowering pupils to embrace change, to have a clear sense of right and wrong, to be brave enough to make mistakes and to have confidence to aim for personal success whilst supporting those around us.

Our values form the heart of our school and are the foundation of the strong, diverse community that is Ashton House. Our pupils carry these traits on well past their time in the classroom and long into their individual futures.

Work with us

We can offer you a happy working environment with enthusiastic children in small classes, supportive parents and a great team of colleagues. As an independent school we have a slightly longer school day (pupils attend 8.15 am-3.40pm) but enjoy a generous 16 weeks of school holidays. A free, home-cooked lunch is available to all staff each day in term time.

If you are interested in working for us, please apply for any of our live roles that may be suitable. Alternatively, do join our talent pool.
