Our Story

everyFAMILY was established as a charity and Neighbourhood Nursery called Brentry & Henbury Children’s Centre in 2004 when the local preschool ‘Playdays’ closed after losing its premises. The Playdays team and the local community commissioned research into the need for childcare and family support within the area and secured funding to build the Centre in the grounds of Brentry Primary School. In quick succession we proudly became one of Bristol’s first phase Children’s Centres and the only one ran independently as a charity.

Over the years we ran Children Centre services in Henbury, Southmead and Stoke Bishop. As our work has evolved from Children Centre services and we provided services across Bristol and South Gloucester, we changed our working name after consulting service users, partners and staff as ‘everyFAMILY’ The new name reflects our inclusive family support services.
