About Us

Brooklands is a Surrey County Council community day special school for children with severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties, including those children with ASD. Children are admitted from 2 years of age and may continue their education here until the age of 11. Brooklands stands in its own grounds in a quiet residential road.

The school is on one level and all the classrooms are under the same roof. This helps to ensure safety and accessibility for all pupils. There are 9 classes and a large hall with fitted PE apparatus. We have a soft play room as well as high quality indoor swimming and hydrotherapy pools. The school has a 17 seater minibus with tail lift as well as an art room, a central resource room and a combined library and music room. A beautiful sensory garden, challenge equipment, a large pond and a multi-sensory room have all been added recently to the school’s facilities. A well equipped meeting room provides a comfortable environment for parents to meet as well as an excellent location for courses and workshops.
