Burpham Primary School Careers Site Eteach (14091)

Burpham is a two-form entry Primary School for children between the ages of four and eleven. An integral part of the school community is our KS1 Communication and Interaction (COIN) Centre for children with speech, language and communication difficulties.

Our motto of “Spread your wings and fly high!” underpins all our school aims and high pupil and staff expectations. As a result all stakeholders aspire to help every child develop as a whole person, to love learning and achieve more than they ever thought possible. We believe that you should aim high and that with excellent teaching and the right support, anything is possible if you work hard enough.

We believe in early intervention and strong pastoral care and employ an ELSA three mornings a week and a HSLW four days a week. We deliver strong inclusive practice where all learners are valued and expectations are high. Opportunities are taken to celebrate difference and all children learn together whatever their individual needs. We believe in equity i.e. giving everyone what they need to succeed. As a result progress for all children from their starting points is strong.

  • expect the highest commitment by staff to promote the best personalised learning and progress
  • work as a team, to include the whole school community
  • communicate clearly and transparently with all members of the school community

We believe…

  • everybody must feel safe
