Cedars Manor School Careers Site Eteach (13393)

Situated in the heart of Harrow Weald, the school was first built in 1948 as part of a post war regeneration project. Many of the surrounding houses, and even the local secondary school were built at the same time. Some of our families have lived in this area since that time; some of our staff even came here when they were children.

Since that time, there have been a number of changes; not least our lovely new building. We are very proud to be working in such a modern setting and the school now has extensive grounds too. This has provided an attractive environment for all our pupils to do the best that they can.

We have families at school from all over the World. Between us we can speak over 50 languages. We are an inclusive school that caters for pupils aged 3 to 11. We are the Local Authority’s resource base for hearing impaired; a provision that provides strong support not just for the pupils in the ARMS unit, but for other children with a hearing impairment too. The school works hard to support the learning and development of all pupils.

About Us

Our school ethos is that we are a happy school where expectations are high and individuals are valued. This can be seen when simply walking around the building; many visitors remark on the positive feel that is present in the school.

Cedars Manor has achieved a Silver award for both its work in SMSC and the Unicef Rights Respecting award. We are currently working towards Gold in both these areas. We have also recently achieved the Gold School Travel Award; so, valuing our pupils and keeping them safe is a key priority.

The Cedars Curriculum is broad and balanced. We have a specialist Music teacher, a choir with over 70 pupils and specialist PE and sports provision to name just a few of the activities available to our pupils.

Our Mission Statement

Cedars Manor is a welcoming, dynamic community which is both exciting and nurturing. Our pupils will want to come to school every day and be guided and challenged to learn and do their very best. Our pupils will be inspired to fulfil their full potential, aiming for brilliance and able to embrace the future.
