Overview

Chertsey Nursery School is a 80 place nursery maintained by Surrey County Council. It is housed in a beautiful Queen Anne Grade II listed building. The grounds are extensive, with lawns, a tarmac playground and many trees, offering our children a stimulating learning environment. We also have an attached Special Needs Unit catering for nursery children with a variety of complex special needs.

The Nursery School has been on its present site for 50 years and has built up a very good reputation within the local community. We are very proud of the building we are in and the history behind the building. All those who visit us remark on the friendly welcome and atmosphere they feel when entering our school.

The Centre is part of the Government Sure Start programme to to deliver the best start in life for every child. We bring together early education, childcare, health and family support.Sure Start covers a wide range of programmes both universal and those targeted on particular local areas or disadvantaged groups within England.
