Churchfield is a sixteen class primary school & nursery in the market town of Highbridge in Somerset. On 1st April 2013 we transferred to an Academy and now are part of: Bath and Wells MAT

There is something very special about Churchfield and we are incredibly proud of our unique children and our community. Our vision is for everyone to have a thirst for learning within a high quality, caring, inclusive school built on Christian values. We foster an environment where children show respect and kindness to one another and the world around them and who are prepared for the ever-changing world.

At Churchfield we have learning and high standards at the heart of all we do. We encourage all our children to achieve the best they can across every area of school, from the rich and broad curriculum to the wide range of extra-curricular activities.

There are several aspects of the school which I would like to emphasise:

High quality learning experiences

Children are better learners when they feel happy and secure. We place vital importance on the physical and emotional well-being of our pupils. We ensure we provide the best possible personalised curriculum with excellent teaching and learning as key priorities.

High Expectations

I am sure that all school speak about high expectations and the importance of them. At Churchfield this is a lynch pin of what we all want to achieve here. This will permeate across the school but it starts with the staff members. Our role in setting the standards and positive environment for the children cannot be understated; building positive relationships with our children is vital for them to feel valued, appreciated and cared for.

Our schools best resource are the people inside it, I would like them to feel valued, appreciated and looked after, as such investment in each member of the team is vital.
