About us

Cilgerran School is a Church in Wales Voluntary Controlled Primary School. Conveniently located in the centre of the village, overlooking St Llawddog Church. The school was originally built in 1845 with a separate building constructed in 1950 which housed the infants. Due to the re-organisation of Primary education in the area an extension was built in the year 2000. During the Easter term 2006 an Early Years Centre was built and opened on the campus.

Children are admitted to school at the commencement of the term following their third birthday and leave to attend secondary school in the September following their eleventh birthday.

We are committed to providing every member of our family with the highest standard of education in a homely, secure and Christian environment. Every child is encouraged to reach his/her full potential through providing challenging, broad experiences to enable them to contribute fully and confidently to a bilingual society. Our aim is to nurture citizens who possess self-discipline, commitment, respect and pride in our language and inheritance.
